Is your brain wired into your gadgets?

June 8, 2010 by Wayne Small 1 Comment

Robert Crane sent me this article this week and it’s a really good read and has made me think.  I know that normally I am pretty good at multi tasking, but over the last few years, I’ve felt that I’ve “lost my edge”… and some days seem to come and go without being able to really say what was achieved.  So I figure I’ll give this a go.  I’ve downloaded RescueTime and I’m going to see where my time is going.  Maybe then I’ll be able to recover some time in my day and become more efficient.

It begs the question though… how effective do you think you are on a daily basis?  Do you think you are 100% effective? Less?  Give it a shot on this poll below.  I’m keen to know your thoughts.

    Wayne,

Also have a look at http://www.manictime.com/ which is a free download (no cloud connection) but provides excellent tracking of what you do on your machine.

It is all about the end result not necessarily how you got them. If you are mart you want to be productive as possible so spending a little time analysing what and how you do something can result in extrodinary savings.

At the end of the day it is all about being smart with your time because you’ll never get it back once you use it. That makes it the most valuable resource you have. Ask yourself, how are you spending your most precious resource?

    Thanks
    Robert
