Why don’t my SQL logs shrink after a backup?

How to resolve STOP Error c00002e2 when restoring from a backup into a virtual machine

We’ve done a DR for a new client this week that we picked up when their server failed.  Last known good backup was to tape drive a week ago, which is not ideal. Disaster Recovery of older Active Directory Domain Controllers.
