February 14, 2014 by Wayne Small 7 Comments

Through various reasons you might end up in the situation where you need to remove a Trend WFBS Client Security Agent (CSA) from a computer and you don’t know the password.  Trend have provided specific removal tools in the event you need to remove or uninstall their WFBS Antivirus client.  The links below will take you to

WFBS 8.0 Removal Tool

WFBS 7.0 Removal Tool

Each of the tools needs to be downloaded to the client machine, extracted and then run as Administrator.  Once done you will need to reboot your computer.

Hey! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could get a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having trouble finding one? Thanks a lot!

Your advice about removal of the Trend client was spot on, and saved the bacon for a client here in Redding, CA.
Trend would not talk to us when it came to removal of their software, as that would interrupt their income stream. The guy that installed the password would not talk to us, as we are the competition.
Machines are cleaned up and client is happy.
    Thanks for the great advice.
