I was doing some work last week on an Exchange 2010 server and multitasking a little too much maybe 
.
I lost connection with the Exchange server services and then discovered in the Services MMC that they were all set to disabled as you can see below.
For a moment I had a heart attack and wonder just what the heck was going on… then I remembered that in my multitasking, I was actually installing an Update Rollup for Exchange which had set the services to disabled so that it can replace the required program files for Exchange.
Lesson #1342 for today – too much multitasking can be a bad thing… slow down
Hi Did you ever get around to solving this. If so what did you do. Im experiencing the same thing.
Yes – the issue was due to me installing patches but I forgot that I was doing that 🙁
