Many of you might not know it, but Trend have their own community forums through which you can find out about far more information that you normally can on their products.  Trend’s Community forums are located here.  I’d suggest you think about checking them out next time you have an issue with their product as the forums are staffed not only by Trend resellers, but … [Read more...]

How do I get past the “Malicious Website Blocked” in Trend WFBS 7.0?

December 10, 2010 by Wayne Small Leave a Comment

I posted yesterday about a patch for WFBS 7.0 that brought it up to 1370 level.  What I found shortly after applying the patch was that in the Trend WFBS Security console it reported not as build 1370, but as build 1369.  See below.   Initially I was concerned that this meant that the patches supplied were incomplete, but I contacted Trend and discussed this with the … [Read more...]

How did I know about the patch?  Easy – my WFBS Security Console showed me when I logged into it this morning.  It’s a new feature in WFBS 7.0 that does this. Patch 1370 fixes a number of key … [Read more...]

December 6, 2010 by Wayne Small 2 Comments

One of my biggest criticisms of Trend Micro in their WFBS product has been the lack of real notification that patches are available for their products.  This is pretty important as you want to know of issues as soon as you can so that you can decide if you wish to take action on it or not.  Well in WFBS 7.0, they’ve got a new feature that goes some way towards solving … [Read more...]
