This morning Microsoft announced that SBS 2011 Essentials was done, dusted and fully baked. This milestone does not mean it’s available to the public yet, but means that the final code is ready for release to manufacturing. We won’t see it in the public space for a few more weeks yet.

Now before you go out and start installing this everywhere, consider the support by third party application vendors. Vendors such as backup vendors and antivirus vendors will need to ensure that their software is fully tested against this final code before they can officially support them. Be warned
