Part of having your servers hosted in the cloud means you can’t control the scheduled downtime when your hosting provider needs to do some maintenance. Fortunately for me my hosting provider VMVault has had very reliable systems and anytime there’s been a failure in one of their systems, I normally find out about it when they are telling me that it’s fixed, not when someone tells me that my site is down again… to me that’s good work on their part. Having said all that, some things can’t easily be avoided, and this Saturday night Sydney time, or early AM Saturday US time depending on your time zone, SBSfaq.com will be down for a few hours while they move everything over to their new facilities. I’m prevented from telling you much about them at the moment due to NDA, but they will certainly be impressive with the capacity they have and the additional redundancy they will offer too. So – you’ve been warned… SBSfaq.com will be down for a few hours on Saturday night… but will be back bright n early on Sunday morning
