What is Windows Foundation Server 2008 ?

Windows Foundation Server 2008 is more correctly named Windows Server 2008 Foundation Edition. It contains the same features as Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition but with some limitations therefore allowing Microsoft to offer it at a lower cost. It is available only through selected OEMs preinstalled on their entry level servers. It is designed to cater for small business networks of up to 15 users maximum.
