Welcome to 2011 – it’s now 11:11am on 1/1/11

January 1, 2011 by Wayne Small Leave a Comment

First up – Happy New Year to you all.  Since I relaunched this site just over 12 months ago now, it’s seen an amazing increase in traffic.  So much so that the volume of traffic is now 5 times larger than it was before the launch of the new site.  Thank you for being a contributor to that.  I’m setting this to post specifically at 11:11 am on the 1/1/11 – must be something magical about that combination huh Smile

Like any website, I run statistic to see what is useful and what is not.  I’m aiming to write more of the articles that you all find so valuable.  Recently I was alerted to the fact that Google now ranks me in the top 3 for certain search terms. What totally blew me away was that doing a Google search for SBS 2011 showed below.  Not even Microsoft appears on the first page Smile although I am told that this might be geographical, it’s nice to see the little guys win one at times.

But further analysis though shows me what you really want…  Googling SBS 2008 Exchange SP3 gets these results.image

This one post has attracted the highest number of hits on my site.  This tells me that my readers love the real world experience that I bring to the site.  They love the “been there done that” type articles that I write.  So my pledge for you for 2011 is to continue to do more of that.  Writing based on real world experiences so that you don’t have to “bump your toe” on things.

I’ve also got a few books in the works – one on WFBS 7.0 and the other on SBS 2011 Standard Edition with others in the pipeline.

So tell me please… what else would you like to see from me this year?  What can I do via this website that would help you better?

Have a great New Year and I look forward to hearing your feedback on how I can make this site even better for you.
