SBS 2008 – Beyond the Wizards

September 10, 2009 by Wayne Small Leave a Comment

This morning I’m presenting a session at TechEd Australia that I’ve developed just for those SBSers out there that don’t realise the power that is under the covers with SBS 2008.  Many claim that there is little value in SBS 2008 itself over SBS 2003, and on face value they are right.  However I believe that the true power of SBS 2008 is in the components that make it up and what you can do with them to solve customer problems.  I’ve developed this session as a first part of a full days training that I’ll be running in the coming months. The session blurb is on below – I’m on at 8:15am in Room 7 today so don’t be shy – come along and introduce yourself.

After you’ve setup your SBS 2008 server you’ll want to take it to the next level. This session will help you do all those things that the wizards can’t do for you. It will take you behind the scenes of the core components of SBS 2008 helping you extend it to meet your customer’s true business requirements. We’ll reveal some of the background magic that makes SBS 2008 what it is and leave you with many tips and tricks.
